New Yorkers delayed in return home from Boston shopping trip on account of allegedly passing counterfeit bills
Boston Police report arresting three New Yorkers on charges they passed counterfeit bills on a little shopping spree at the South Bay TJ Maxx on Thursday.
The stun gun, Oxycodone and "two large plastic bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana" allegedly found in their car also did little to endear them to the local constabulary.
Police report a clerk at the TJ Maxx store summoned a detail officer around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday to check out what appeared to be a counterfeit bill.
Further investigation revealed that the same female suspect had made multiple purchases that afternoon in the TJMaxx store with four other $100 bills that also appeared to be counterfeit. The officer observed that these bills had the same serial numbers. The officer then viewed surveillance video that showed the suspect sitting in a black motor vehicle in the parking lot in front of the nearby Target store.
Along with other responding units, the officer approached the vehicle and observed three occupants.
Arrested were Adina Chisolm, 18, who allegedly passed the bill that made the clerk suspicious, Monique Bangura, 31, and Clevon Grant, 25, all of New York.
Innocent, etc.

New York?
Surely that's an error. I thought our low-rent criminals only visited from New Hampshire.
