T to alert people that upskirting is now illegal

The T plans to install 300 ads on trains and buses to alert riders that, after a brief interlude, upskirting is once again against the law.
In March, the legislature rushed to pass a law against aiming a camera up a woman's skirt after the Supreme Judicial Court ruled the law used to prosecute a man for doing that on the Green Line did not apply in public places such as trolleys.
According to police, they've investigated a dozen or so upskirting cases over the past three years.

Is that ad campaign going out to bid?
Otherwise it seems like a weak excuse to give an ad/printing agency money (given low incidence rate). If they go through with the ads, it ought to list the many inappropriate behaviors not allowed.
It's a PSA
I doubt the T is spending a lot of money on an ad agency. And they've been rotating through PSAs for years - from ads against groping to ads against throwing litter on the tracks.
Wish they'd actually make reminder announcements
about Government Center Station being closed and what people need to do to access the Blue Line. In riding on a daily basis, I've heard Green Line operators make that announcement on trains only about once every eight times, and have NEVER seen or heard any announcements on the message boards or over the PA.
Based on the questions I've gotten from folks who are apparently tourists, seems to me this would be far more useful than more printed PSA banners reminding passengers about behavior that even a reasonably intelligent person should consider as "not right".

They announce every day right before State St. Although the BL has more regular commuters than the GL does, but it proves my point that the BL is the best subway line in the city. Bar none.

They can have the current MBTA Inspectors enforce this....

I think its a great idea,
I think its a great idea, especially as visitors from all over the world coming for the marathon will be interested in our local customs - like taking photos up women's skirts, assaulting and spitting on bus drivers, hiding guns and obstructing justice for your criminal boyfriends, contributing to sperm banks for cash, and all the other quaint activities that we call attention to though T announcements and advertisements, especially those found on the Silver Line from the airport. Can't we advertise toothpaste for a change?

im very glad theyre doing this. i was just in new york and they didnt have a single ad about this. it was 75 degrees and lots of women were wearing skirts and beneath every skirt was an iphone snapping away. if the MTA were as smart as the MBTA maybe this sort of behavior would stop but until then men will continue taking pictured up women's skirts with reckless abandon. it makes me sick
"private area"
This sounds like we're talking to children about not touching other people's "bathing suit area" or something. Just sounds like very immature phrasing, to me.
