You'd think that on a purchase of thet size someone might think to request an ID from the card user. But maybe initiative isn't McD's workers' strong suit.

Most places don't even look at the card. They just tell you to slide it and enter your pin or sign.

How does someone buying $2500 worth of gift cards ANYWHERE not tip someone off, let alone McDonalds? The person who sold those must be in on it.

Can't McD's put a stop on these GC's? All they need to do is review this transaction to find the sequence of serial numbers from these cards. Then when someone attempts to use one of these cards it will raise a red flag.
