Belgrade Avenue pizza shortage set to ease with opening of MJ's replacement

Stash's Pizza in Roslindale

Stash's Pizza Co. of Norwood is nearing completion of its first Roslindale outlet, at 330 Belgrade Ave. That's the former home of MJ's, which closed last summer.

Stash's says it serves New York-style pizza.

Its opening will end the pizza gap on Belgrade between Rustica Pizza off Walworth and the pizza district along Centre Street in West Roxbury.

Still has MJ's awning on it, I noticed. Maybe the new owners will replace it later.

Or maybe they'll keep it like an homage - sort of like the old Larry's Ice Cream awning that's also still there.

Stash's is awesome--I used to drive over to the one on Blue Hill Ave whenever I had time between classes at UMB. Pizza was always hot and fresh--good subs too!

They do a landmark business on Blue Hill Ave and a very diverse menu for take out.

This place is gross. I've had fish & chips and chicken wings from here and in both cases the meat tasted and smelled awful like it wasn't fresh. Not to mention the customer service sucks balls. I would avoid it if I were you. Rustica is on the same street and Christo's is a couple of blocks away on Centre street.
