Turkeys bored with just ruling the roost take over the street in West Roxbury
By adamg on Wed, 09/24/2014 - 9:08am
Boston Strolls reports these birds on the inbound side of Washington Street just up from Woodley were showing no fear this morning:
They walked right up to me.
Of course, this not being Brookline, no blood was shed.

Every morning in Brighton
I see anywhere between two and five turkeys every morning when I walk from Comm Ave in Brighton to Beacon St in Brookline. Sometimes they ignore me, sometimes they seem agitated so I cross the street.
Silly humans, we know no fear
Silly humans, we know no fear for we are fear incarnate!
Gobble Gobble!
I hope you are all eating well ... fattening you up makes for nice juicy stuffing come Thanksgiving!
Jealous of our beautiful language?
The annual genocidal carnage and cannibalism of our people as part of a 'feast' commemorating the theft of our ancestral lands by colonial oppressors shall contribute to your deserved downfall.
Should our revolutionary struggle take our lives we shall destroy you from within. In death our courageous cholesterol will smite the arteries of our oppressors and continue our glorious war of liberation!
Thats quite a welcoming home
The stones on top of the wall look like sharks teeth.
Has anyone else seen the wild
Has anyone else seen the wild turkey that hangs out on Mass Ave in either Central Square or sometimes closer to Harvard? I have seen him a few times while I'm out running, most recently on Friday afternoon/evening on Mass Ave near Harvard Street. It's always interesting seeing the REALLY giant "pigeon" coming at you on the sidewalk. I always kick myself for not bringing a phone on my runs just to snap a picture.
turkeys in Harvard and Inman
yes. There's one in Harvard and I've seen one in/around Inman Square for years now. Different turkeys. I looked out the bus window at the corner of Harvard and Quincy Streets Monday morning, and there was a turkey. Occasionally see them trotting down the sidewalks throughout these areas.
Is this anywhere near Grouse
Is this anywhere near Grouse or Partridge sts?
Yes, and not far from my favorite

Look at the Grouse!
