That's enough asphalt to be about a moderate sized driveway length of a street - not counting wages, equipment, and trucks.
Paving streets do generate a lot buzz, however. Compared to lot of stuff, seeing nice and new paved streets is a very visible imagery of something tangible for tax dollars. This was recognize by some politicians, notably Lantigua where fortunately it failed, but he did garner support by some using it.
And next we're going to find out that it's everyone's favorite vandal--Not Art Guy. His first work will be "Not a Poem" and he really wants people to examine and think "Is this a poem? Is it not a poem?"
