It looks like a container
It looks like a container ship to me.
All future NB shoeboxes
All future NB shoeboxes should look like this.
Looks like a contemporary cruise ship
rendered in green glass. Similar silhouette. I hope the see-through aspect of the building isn't ruined by high office partitions or walls when occupied.
I drive by it on the Mass Pike during my commute
It's super shiny. I look forward to many days of the sun's glare reflecting off of the buildings and into my eyes as I drive home from a long day at work.
Use the air rights and put
Use the air rights and put the pike underground. Problem solved.
I think glare is possible but unlikely
As the Pike is on the north side of the building - there is a shadow expert somewhere around here who will tell us on which days it might be problem.
Are you afraid that glare
Are you afraid that glare will ... um ... clog traffic?
Is that your sole objection?
Stay on topic
Please don't shoehorn a pun into this serious discussion of the glaring problems with the building.
Wagging tongues
Heel, BostonDog!
There's no reason to keep their tongue from wagging.
The Brighton Battlestar
Actually, this is Brighton's first Battlestar. First, we take Allston, then we take the World.
Sexier than the Seaport Travelodge!
I don't know what sort of similar "top down" glass building they are building at Seaport Ave. and the Channel, but it looks like a Travelodge.
Maybe it will look better when they glass in the lowest floor so that it doesn't look like parking.
I like the Brighton Battlestar a lot better.
It's a stylized shoe
I like this building quite a lot, but it definitely takes some time to realize what it is (not a boat).
You like shoe buildings?
Be sure to visit Amsterdam - this building is right on the highway from the airport to the city.

Amsterdam Shoe Building
I looked at that (lovely) photo, and my first thought was, "everything looks so neat and orderly".
Not that it necessarily means anything, but I cannot remember ever looking at anything around here and thinking that.
