State Police report a truck that self immolated around 9 a.m. on 128 south at the Reading/Stoneham line forced a shutdown of the southbound side of the highway. All lanes were reopened shortly after 10 a.m.

Diesel trucks that are way behind on their maintenance schedule can "run away" where the oil in the engine gets sucked into the combustion chamber and burns as it would fuel. It usually results in huge amounts of white smoke, like this, and can set the thing on fire as well.
