I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and he was so sweet and lovely. My condolences to his family.

I had many wonderful conversations with him over the years, usually while he was inviting people to let their inner child break free of the paradigms of 'respectable' society. What type of serious person could, god forbid, enjoy coloring a sidewalk and bring beauty to the world.
Of course (being me) we ended up talking government and how much he had been hassled by the various administrations for his 'vandalism'. We joked that if I actually became Mayor I would make him artist in residence.
The world needs more sidewalk Sams and fewer rules enforcers. We lost a great today.
With love.
Kevin
