Around 5:55 p.m., on my way to a dinner meeting this evening, I had my car radio on "scan." I heard what sounded like Caribbean music with some DJ with a Caribbean accent yelling over that. Sounded different, so I stopped the scan to listen - to Choice 102.9 (which I'd never heard of before).
Turned out to be a call-in quiz. Whoever could correctly identify "a nation that most people think is a big mistake" and the year of its founding would win a prize.
The correct answer: Israel and 1948. Oy, gevalt.

If I heard that, I'd do more than post here, I'd also get in touch with the Anti-Defamation League or the Jewish Community Relations Council.

It's one thing to criticize the Israeli government's policies, and to take them to task for it,(and their govt. SHOULD be criticized) but to say that Israel was a mistake is totally wrong. They have just as much right to exist as any other country.

I strongly encourage you to report these comments to the relevant broadcasting authorities, as well as to ADL as a previous commenter has suggested.
