Grounded

Greg Reibman reports that what might be the last Ground Round in all of Massachusetts - that sorta-invisible one just off 128 at the Newton/Needham line - has closed. Those of you who are old enough to remember may throw some peanut shells on the floor and take your kid to see a scary clown.

bad idea
Trading Manny is a bad idea. He's too good for the Sox to lose, one of the best in the league. But if we are going to trade him let's get Brett Favre.

Except for the relatively new Ground Round located at the intersection of Melnea Cass and Massachusetts Avenue.

Ground Round May Not Be Alone
According to the internets, several company-owned Bennigans have been shuttered after the parent firm declared bankruptcy. Franchisee-owned outlets may be staying open, but when the shark dies, often the pilot fish are on their own.

That is classic. Don't know who will get that reference, but it's frickin' hilarious. More verses, please! You can sing them into a defunct ice cream helmet. :-)
Relocated Ground Round in Salem
Salem still has its Ground Round so far as I know; it was relocated a 1/2-mile south on Highland Ave. (next to Wal-Mart). The old Ground Round near McDonalds is now an IHOP.
Salem also still has Victoria Station
which was once a big restaurant chain, but now seems to have shrunk back to this single location.
