A self-proclaimed golf pro from Woburn found himself in the rough early this morning at the Black Rose Bar on State Street:
According to an on-duty security guard at the bar, Mr. Gaffney used a golf club to smash the bar's windows. He appeared to be extremely intoxicated, and yelled various lewd insults at the officers on the scene. He threatened to "beat them" once he was freed from their handcuffs. He also demanded that he be let go since he was "a golf professional".
Police, no doubt a bit teed off, declined his request and instead made him one in a hole.
Innocent, etc.

Will he be charged with drunken driving?
