That time of year when the rails get slippery and my local T driver takes the opportunity to test out how well the train slides.

Not sure if this is actually some MBTA rep who didn't have time to confirm the account saying something about actually being on normal timetables, or some satirical joke about how the T's "normal service" is usually a long line in front of a bus.

At least they are telling you way in advance..
Like the flyer I saw yesterday about the Providence Line delays.. more communication.
Sounds like Keolis is starting to get that they need to communicate better to the riders and frankly just be honest with them.

Also, the north end of the Orange Line is bussing this weekend due to continued work on Assembly Square station. It never ends, it seems.

I can't believe how many years it takes the Commuter Rail to do repairs like replacing bridge decks.
Why couldn't they learn from projects like the I-93 Fast 14, where one direction of a bridge deck was replaced per weekend? Off-peak and weekend commuter rail schedules are already infrequent enough to fit through a single track work zone.
Instead we get years of shuttle buses, or in the case of the Fitchburg line, zero weekend service at all.
