aht
Every pic is taken from up high because from down below it looks a fishing net that blew in and got stuck in some electric wires.
aht. not aht.
saw some plastic bags stuck in trees along the neponset...
aht. not aht.
great minds
you beat me to it by mere moments
that woman
is laughing all the way to the the bank.
I'm guessing she was inspired by all the Stop & Shop bags stuck in the lilac bushes from Stockbridge to Boston
Art? Perhaps....sculpture.... sorry, no.
that poster
Thinks this is local. Like the people who assume that wind loadings and bird impacts were not thought about.
The internet can tell you about things outside of the area, context, etc. too.
You can also go down there and look at it wave and shimmer in the sun, rather than make tenuous comparisons based on photos.
yes yes
I know about her 'installations' and I read of her history when the preparations began. The displays are pretty, I'm not denying that.
And if I'd thought of it first, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank too.
I'm just not going to call her a 'sculptress' and put her on a par with Michelangelo
I suppose if my sole
I suppose if my sole reference point for sculptors was some guy who lived 500 years ago, I might come to a similar conclusion.
oh all right
Calder, wise guy, a tad more contemporary and at least sort of comparable. Sheesh.
all I heard about bird impacts...
...was that "ornithologists had been consulted". was there more?
but I think it's a small miracle that this was installed.
Big Holes
Yes, the mesh is not a fine net. The holes are big enough that only something like a Condor or DiMasio could get caught in it.
(No subject)
...yawn
Spend a lot of time looking that up?
Have you gone to see this installation yourself? I'll reserve judgment till then. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I think the expression is...
"everyone is entitled to their own stupid opinion" in my humble stupid opinion, that is.
" According to the latest
" According to the latest research by Salary.com, Inc, the average worker spends 1.7 hours doing nothing at 8 hour working day. Mainly this time is allocated for personal web surfing (34.7 %), dialogue with friends and colleagues (20.3 %), hobby (17.0 %). "
Retake at Night
It's cooler with the lights on it. Would like to see that view then. Thx for pic.
Whether or not you like it, I think it's pretty cool that the city got this up there.
Haha! But that would mean
Haha! But that would mean staying at work until after dark. Which, no. But thanks for your comment!
Cool, feels like I'm in
Cool, feels like I'm in Phoenix or Orlando!!
You people are a bunch of pills
If my mother were here, she'd tell you to go make something nice or shut up about it. Honestly, some of you do nothing but bellyache all the live long day. Go do a weekend cleanse or something and get rid of whatever's got your bowels so blocked.
So, how would your Mom react to your less than nice comment...
"go do a weekend cleanse or something and get rid of whatever's got your bowels so blocked."
by pills maybe
you mean Dulcolax?
