The T may not be able to function in the winter and you can hear Orange Line trains corroding, but they have a state-of-the-art surveillance system, and with another clue that she provided in the comments, coupled with the records the CharlieCard system keeps, I'm thinking it won't be long now ...

the woman says somewhere in the comments that she tried to contact the MBTA or MBTA police, and no one got back to her. She may have contacted the wrong department, but it's not like there was a lack of trying...and trying to find those contact numbers on a website that may or may not be mobile-compatible can be tough while under duress.
If she called 911 from a cell phone, she would have been directed to the State Police, then Boston 911, then the Transit Police, which would have taken some extra time.

the page I was linked to was facebook. MBTA police has always gotten right back to me, if I mentioned them in a tweet about a crime. Once, I was on a bus that rear ended a cab. While the busdriver was checking the health of all the customers, the cab ran away.

What if you were in the woman's shoes who took the photo? If he could hear you call 911 and hear you narc on him, would you still show so much bravado?
I'm not saying there aren't alternatives to the situation I hypothesized. I just think we shouldn't be so restrictive as to only expect to receive requests for police service via 911 in the 21st century.
I'm thinking of the domino's case where the domestic violence hostage sent a note in with her electronic pizza order, "being held hostage", or something to that effect. That message probably saved her from a gruesome domestic violence related homicide.

Thanks, did try on for size the second I saw the photo and Facebook caption. Then, I thought of a reason why people hesitate to call 911, and when alternatives could be crucial.
You must have missed the part where I wrote "I'm not saying there aren't alternatives to the situation I hypothesized." Not all people behave the same under pressure, or rationally.
Because I wasn't there or in the photographer's state of mind, I decided not to believe that I must know better than her.
I guess you and I have different points of view.

On the NY subway folks who can't or won't wait to go home or visit a by the hour hotel don't stop at oral sex or limit themselves to subway stations.
A large trench coat, a bumpy subway ride and presto-chango the two backed beast.
Though I imagine this is not exactly the first time that two folks decided to commandeer a subway station for intimate enjoyment. Perhaps they are looking for a way to fulfill their destinies as nominees for the Darwin award?. I can only hope that save for an act of God these two don't produce replacements who are equally self-centered as to have sex on a public subway! Don't they know about the Fens for Pete's sake?
