Bus, SUV get up in each other's grills in Jamaica Plain

UPDATE, 12:30 p.m. Bus, SUV separated, service to Green, Stony Brook resuming.
Nick Tomkavage shows us the results of a head-on collision between an Orange Line shuttle bus and and Escalade at Boylston and Amory in Jamaica Plain around 11:50 a.m. EMTs were evaluating the Escalade driver for possible injuries.
Because of the crash, the T had its shuttle buses - running so the Orange Line can get some TLC this weekend - simply bypass Green and Stony Brook.

This is awesome
What a great way to illustrate the changing dynamics and economic situations in Boston neighborhoods than this. Too bad it wasn't a Range Rover. It would have been perfect.
The other half of JP are
The other half of JP are perfectly happy with their Escalades.
Two steps backward, another step backward
The solution for anyone wanting to exit at Stoney Brook or Green St while disentangling these kissing cousins? Ride the bus to Forest Hills and then ride a bus back to one of those stations. Yet if they can manage to get a bus to Forest Hills in spite of this mess can't they just let people off somewhere near the station?
I hope that the track heaters which are causing the summer of Orange line bustitution (great word) will prevent tracks from freezing instead of being another waste of money.
The alerts didn't even mention
"Go to Forest Hills and get a bus back". All they said was that shuttle buses were bypassing Stoney Brook and Green Street stations, but didn't indicate the reason.
