This e-mail just came in:
FREE ICE CREAM NOW -- truck parked on the 2nd Floor, main entrance
(The building's on the side of a small hill, so, yes, that makes perfect sense).

Here.
Couple of notes: I have no idea if the truck is still there or if the free stuff is limited to people who work at a particular company (the second floor is sort of the main lobby, though). And yes, we are right next to Sealtest Drive.

So is that the company whose ice cream is in the truck?
I'd tend to doubt it

Since the factory there makes ice cream in bulk quantities for sale to supermarkets and the like.
But since I'm 20 miles away and nobody at work has offered to drive some of that free ice cream over here, I don't know for sure.
What is a seal test anyway?

I used to see that brand mentioned in Consumer Reports and wonder why it was called that.
Does it mean that if the particular seal in question could balance the ball on his nose (or keep it moving the right direction), he would pass the seal test?

I think it has something to with that warning you see on boxes of animal crackers: "Do Not Eat If Seal Is Broken."
Joke

A penguin is out driving in the desert one day when he notices smoke from under his car's hood. He stops at a gas station in town and asks if the mechanic can check it out.
In the meantime, he wanders down to the ice cream store and gets a big vanilla cone. He makes a mess of it, getting ice cream all over his face and hands on his waddle back to the gas station. His car is waiting for him.
The mechanic says, "I performed a test and it looks like you've blown a seal."
The penguin replies, "No, mate, it's just ice cream."
Seal test.

I would rather be home and get ice cream from my own freezer than be at work ANY DAY.
Great seal joke, by the way.
