That said, there are certain areas, like that dismal connecting tunnel between Park and DTX (there are others), that, for whatever reason, don't appear to be cleaned on a regular basis. That connecting tunnel is nasty, why doesn't the T clean and modernize it?

Work rules dictate only authorized employees can pick up trash as part of a work crew under the direction of a supervisor for a meticulously scheduled work zone. That coffee cup in the track pit requires all sorts of coordination and authorization for stopping trains, flagging, supervising, safety, etc. to make a simple task burdensomely complicated to the point the task isn't done very often.

If everyone in their own neighborhood can do the same , just by picking up litter off the sidewalks, just think how clean the streets would look. Remember ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!
