Citizen complaint of the day: Yoohoo!

Does the city respond faster to 311 requests if you wave to the camera? Here's the latest example of people in their complaint photos, in this case, a couple of folks who want a Handicap Parking sign moved one door down on Sumner Street in East Boston.

East boston has more handicap
East boston has more handicap signs on their streets than any other neighborhood in the city. Southie has its space savers - Eastie has the signs. One block of Saratoga i think is mostly handicap parking.

go
To east boston and try to park
I live there
I even had one of these handicap spots in front of my house. It was only a pain when there was a snow emergency, but where was it not? Never had a problem any other time.
Wow.
One space? Hang a caution sign or something on it until you need it for yourself.
They Are Showing...
... that they are not handicapped, I assume. And also generally happy, despite the misplaced sign. Good for them!
Maybe the handicapped neighbor asked them to file the complaint because he/she does not have the space where needed?

My bet
And this is a $2 bet, is that the handicapped spot was erroneously put in front of their house, meaning both them and their handicapped neighbor are aggrieved.
And yes, haters, they don't own the spot in front of their house, but still, it would be nice if someone could park there and the person with the mobility issue wouldn't have to move that much further. Again, just a hunch.
You don't know if they meet
You don't know if they meet the requirements for a handicapped parking space. Nor if anyone else in their household does.
