State Police report a Norwood man died in a crash on the northbound side of the O'Neill Tunnel around midnight.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Eric Papkee indicates that Kieran Boyle, 23, of Norwood was traveling northbound in the tunnel on a 2013 Yamaha R6 when he lost control of the motorcycle, causing him to crash and ultimately strike the concrete barrier adjacent to the roadway. Boyle sustained fatal injuries as a result of that impact, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
While the cause of this crash remains under investigation, speed is believed to be a factor.

O'Neil Tunnel

Personally I think the O'Neil tunnel is dangerous with merging of split ramps and a 45 mph speed limit. People often exceed speed limits and that makes the situation worse.
For newcomers to the road, there is not time at high speed to read the directional signs above the ramps. It's amazing there are not many more accidents. I take an alternate route whenever possible to avoid the hazards.

Read some Reddit posts about this accident. If those posts are true then it was one truly gruesome scene. rip.

Doesn't this kid have a long record, and he was in a video a while back (I think posted on UHub) for an all-out brawl near faneuil hall/financial district? Sorry if it's against the rules. It's a pretty unique name.

Someone with that name and approximate age has a history of assaults, charges of attempted murder. Quick Google search pulls it up. Couldn't say if it's this guy or not though.
