Matt Damon compares Sarah Palin VP candidacy to a bad Disney Movie

Actor Matt Damon criticizes Alaska governor Sarah Palin, citing her inexperience in national politics and comparing her candidacy to "a bad Disney movie."

"It's absurd. It's totally absurd and I don't believe more people aren't talking about it..."

"I really need to know if she thinks dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago... because she's going to have the nuclear codes.... or if she banned books or tried to ban books."

Yeah, I would say it's a problem that we would entrust the country's security to a person who believes things despite facts to the contrary. There's a name for it. It's called delusional. If Sarah Palin believes there were dinosaurs walking the earth 4,000 years ago, she's believes it in spite of overwhelming scientific (carbon dating) evidence to the contrary. That would make her irrational.

Who else is skeptical if not convinced that Palin would make a disastrous president? And you can't impeach her for being a loon. Bush proved that. Plus, we couldn't impeach her for a blow job... for obvious reasons. We'd be stuck with her and her on the job learning curve... Whats a VP do all day? Fannie and Freddie are too expensive for taxpayers!

(Actor Matt Damon grew up in Cambridge MA with his friend Ben Afflack and wrote the movie Good Will Hunting together in one of their garages.)

Palin Did Not Visit Iraq
By Anne E. Kornblut

WASILLA, Alaska -- Aides to Gov. Sarah Palin are scrambling to explain details of her only trip outside North America -- which, according to a new report, did not include Iraq, as the McCain-Palin campaign had ... claimed.

Palin made an official visit to see Alaskan troops in Kuwait in July of 2007. There, she made a stop at a border crossing with Iraq, but did not actually visit the country, according to a new report in the Boston Globe. link

WASILLA, Alaska — Gov. Sarah Palin lives by the maxim that all politics is local, not to mention personal.

So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as a qualification for running the roughly $2 million agency. link

Sound familiar? No wonder Palin didn't bat an eye when McCain identified her national security credentials as living close to Russia.
