The back story to the discovery of water on the Red Planet is that the stuff is saturated with perchlorate salts, bang-on rocket science ingredients fit for everything from flash powder to Flash Gordon special effects , and worse-- a perchorate driven booster precipitated the first Space Shuttle disaster.

That photo must have been taken around 6 pm. I was at a wedding on the cape. The sunset was spectacular!!!
