But, I had suspended my disbelief a full hour before the show even started, so I was OK with it.

Also, the show makes it seem like Back Bay is a separate town out in the boonies...and yeah the list is just too long to keep track of...fell asleep during the show and I'm usually a sucker for sci-fi shows like this one.

So where is that bridge from last night's show in Stoughton's Famed Seaport District? Vancouver? Just like everything on TV these days?

The only Boston stuff is stock footage.

It really is too bad that they don't film here. It'd be nice to have our own version of Law & Order.

Right down to that weird font Boston Police used to use:
What's with all the manly masculine athletic stuff?

Both Banecek and Spenser spend inordinate amounts of time doing jocky stuff. Manly manly masculine overkill. Like guys in Boston didn't have anything better to do than run around in small shorts and punch punching bags - like have a job or something.
Of course they had to show them talking with/making out with attractive women. Don't want to give the boiz any idears now.

Banacek and Spenser hung up their boxing gloves (although not Hawk, no sir) and could be found most evenings hanging out at a bar on Beacon Hill where everybody knew their names.

They should film in Boston, we already have lots of experience doing movies now, Im sure a tv show would be able to get some good deals for filming locations.

Even if the opening sequence of George Peppard rowing on the Charles was obviously fake:

It feels very 1975 in that rowing scene. You would think they would be have better digital imaging then that.

The shot showing Spenser "sitting" at the old Garden just after Bird shoots.

Spenser got a parking spot smack dab in front of the restaurant on Charles street where he wanted to dine.
(they made up for that when his car blew up - someone set him up the bomb while he dined, but another car tapped the bumper while parking by braille and set the bomb off)

Well true and false... Its impossible to find a spot in that area, but if a mobster or someone like that wanted to keep it open they could just so they could get him.

I sent it around the office. Gotta love that yellowish haze cloud as he transits the city. Those don't happen any more.
We went all air pollution geek on it, talking about how catalytic converters, banning coal and then high-sulfur oil from in-the-city power plants, unleaded gas, etc. changed the air quality a great deal.

If it really were Boston, they could probably find better actors. I was channel flipping when I saw the screen say "Boston, Mass" so I stuck around to see what I'd stumbled onto. Turns out it was last night's episode of Fringe...with the super-fast pregnancy thing going on. The nurse in the ER screamed like a 1950's C horror movie...I checked my DVR for something else to watch.
Godawful acting.

I have another inaccuracy: you can't read someone's mind by being dropped into a pool of water with electrodes attached to your head.
