Lack of restrooms on old Charlestown pier almost proves fatal for one man

Boston Police report officers rescued a man who'd fallen off Constellation Wharf while urinating into the harbor early Saturday.
Police say a witness told arriving officers the man had been micturating into the briny waters shortly before 2:30 a.m. when he began to wobble, then fell 30 feet into the harbor.
When the officers looked down, they saw the man treading water - which they learned been doing for ten minutes before their arrival. They immediately called for the BPD and BFD marine units, but, police say, they decided not to wait for those boats to arrive because they weren't sure how much longer the man could last:
Officers were able to lower a rope to the victim and drag him over one hundred yards to safety to a dock on pier six as they balanced on unstable and rotted support beams high above. The victim was later transported to a local hospital to be treated for possible hypothermia.

It's not quite automatic. I caught a charge pissing behind a dumpster in an alley one night. Prick cop kept telling me how they could charge me as a sex offender or whatever but the judge laughed that off after telling me not to do it again.
If you don't want people pissing outside then PROVIDE RESTROOMS!!! I've lived in many other major cities across the US and Boston ranks the worst for public restrooms. You can't even hit a fast food joint without buying some of their shitty food to get the key to a disgusting restroom...

But anything which goes toward dealing with Boston's critical lack of restrooms is good in my book.
They can install them outside starbucks with the logic it will reduce the line and mess inside.

On a normal weekend where we are frolicking in the woods, out on a long bike ride, climbing some mountain, or some other outdoor activity, that's all we do is pee outdoors, i.e urinating in public.

I would like to just commend the law enforcement officers that arrived on the scene and acted quickly.
As you corny people above joke around this person could have lost their life and we could be talking about recovering a body. But fortunately to quick-thinking professional Boston Police Officers, a tragedy was avoided. And I guess now seeing that no one lost their life, maybe it is okay to poke holes and make fun and light of a situation such as this. Previous statement retracted . Keep it in the pants and away from salt water, lol.
