Every December, Related Beal wraps a giant ribbon and bow around the Flour and Grain Exchange building on the Greenway. But as Adam Castiglioni notices, the bow and ribbon are tiny this year.
Solomon McCown reports the scaling back is just for this year:
Our landlord Related Beal tells us the big bow will be back in 2016. Some façade maintenance work made it impossible this year.

what's going on with the Little Building on the corner of Boylston and Tremont? Temporary scaffolding has been in place for over two years now, and I'm still trying to figure out what work is actually being done to the building that justifies the scaffolding (which constricts sidewalk use) remaining in place for so long.

How could the Theatre District be made more pleasant to walk?... What could be done at this time to mitigate the worst?... of scaffolding and that giant awful sign at the corner of Stuart Street and Tremont Street next to the Wilbur Theatre.

Usually when scaffolding goes up and no one is working on it, it's to protect you from falling debris. You're welcome.

That scaffolding is not related to any work. It was installed to protect our heads from falling façade chunks. When the actual maintenance work on the building will commence is anyone's guess.
