Do-doo in taco bowl
Do-doo in taco bowl
To the toilet I am thrown
Sitting on the throne
Like a dog without a bone
I'd rather just be prone
Do-doo in taco bowl
There's e. coli in my guts
My tuchus squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Cannot work today
If you give this meal a try
Sweet family will die
Doo-doo in my bowl
This sounds like someone beating a hobbyhorse, but there is a point to it. When food production and distribution is industrialized, you get some obvious advantages, but also some downsides that are not always so immediately apparent. One of these is that hygiene is a lot harder to control, anytime you ramp up the scale, cut the corners, process large amounts of food in centralized places and then distribute it widely. One gut spill of one sick animal in one slaughterhouse can result in contaminating meat from many different animals, which is then sent to many different locations. The agent in this case didn't originate in that restaurant, that's a guarantee -- and despite the universal knee-slapping nature of bathroom humor (for those between the ages of 8 and 15, anyway), if it's mutant e. coli, it is no joke. People have died or suffered irreparable damage from mutant e. coli infections.
"BC cancels basketball practice because of sickness" - yup, that was the headline on the Globe's first article on this. Because we know what's really important, right?
since theres now multiple dozens of reported incidents of people sick from this- and those are just the ones that have been reported- i would say that any exposure this gets would be beneficial, considering how easy it is to transmit norovirus.
that you noticed it and ran to expose that headline even more would suggest that maybe it wasn't a bad way to approach the article. especially with all the issues chipotle has had recently, it lets people know that hey- this is a local issue, too, not the same one you've been hearing about in wherever the hell.
If you go about a mile down the road you can get the best burrito anywhere around at Anna's Taqueria. I ate at Chipotle once and was ashamed. Then I said a silent act of contrition to St. Anna and St. Felipe.

I'm glad
I'm glad I don't buy from Chipotle. Read "Omnivore's Dilemma" if you haven't. Food isn't meant to scale; and certainly not to fast food chains.
Food isn't meant to scale...?
Food isn't meant to scale...? I don't understand what you're trying to say.
It's a lecture, but it has a point

I'll stick with my Tina's frozen burritos

LOL
I buy these too on occasion.
And yes don't look at the fat content....
And they are 5 for 2 bucks at Mahkit Baskit
SEE!
This is what happens when Mary Ann's stops serving food.
Do they
Do they deliver?
Ciricles...
are about as bad as chipotel.
And the Globe headline read
"BC cancels basketball practice because of sickness" - yup, that was the headline on the Globe's first article on this. Because we know what's really important, right?
Good idea, actually
Whether it is a mutant e-coli or norovirus, the best thing to do is to prevent it from spreading to a larger group.
well actually
since theres now multiple dozens of reported incidents of people sick from this- and those are just the ones that have been reported- i would say that any exposure this gets would be beneficial, considering how easy it is to transmit norovirus.

I understand
some UML Riverhawks brought cafeteria food with them as a gift prior to the game.
You know....

Or
You've got Boloco right at the "circle."
