UPDATE: The Globe reports police have video that appears to show Marr falling into the river.
A Boston Police dive team and other searchers have returned to the Charles River near North Station, where crews searched last week for evidence related to the disappearance of Zachary Marr, last seen outside the Bell in Hand and the Boston Public Market on Feb. 13.
Margaret Phan reports searchers are paying particular attention to a gap in the tracks over the river on the North Station side.
Jennifer M reports Boston Police divers are back at the scene as well.
Around 10:40 a.m., divers started going into the river to look under the bridge, Aly reports:

The Globe is reporting BPD says they have video of him entering the water, with no reason to suspect foul play.

Long Walk

It does seem like an odd place to go to from the Bell in Hand without a jacket. It's a good 15-20 minute walk down to the river, so you would wonder why he went there.
Shortcut to North Station?

I would try to get there as soon as I could if I was coat-less. If that was his destination, maybe that looked like the fastest route? Just speculating.
But you'd have to walk *past* North Station to get to the river

Why would he do that?
If he just needed to go somewhere warm, I believe the Orange/Green Line station was still open at that hour.
BPD Speculation

from WCVB.com: "Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said new surveillance video shows Marr in the North Station area. Investigators think he was trying to get to the commuter rail, became confused and went into the water."
The commuter rail station was probably locked at that hour

Unlike the subway, which was still in 'Late Night' mode on a Friday night.
I wonder if there is any video of him trying the entrance door, finding it locked, and then walking on towards the tracks?

How would he get onto the tracks? Everything is surrounded by high chainlink fences.

leading towards the Charles River, but abruptly ending at the railroad bridge over the river. I think only low, easily climbed railings separate these walkways from the tracks.

...he passed both Haymarket and north station.
Other news outlets reporting police said video shows him on Nashua St across from the old Spaulding Rehab.
Coincidentally it's exactly where William Hurley was last seen until he was recovered over a week later from the river.
His phone was also found smashed there - where police had previously searched and found nothing.

A half mile in minus zero

A half mile in minus zero weather can be pretty brutal without a coat. But if you have a destination in mind, I suppose you can do it.
But wasn't the behavior of someone just trying to get warm until his friends come out of the bar.

That whole weekend was bitterly cold, and often windy -- a very bad time to be out without a jacket.

are you arguing against "if he was drunk, it doesnt feel that cold"
why the blue F is that something that is up for debate.
nobody is saying it was warm. nobody is saying it wasnt windy. nobody is saying it was a good idea to be without a jacket.

The windchill was well below zero, and alcohol lowers your body temperature, so someone without a jacket would probably feel quite cold. That's why.

...is the only news outlet reporting that there is video showing Zach going into the water.
All of the other reports say that video shows him heading close to north station.
I'm hoping still for his safe return, but there's a huge difference if there's video evidence showing him going into the water as opposed to video of him close to the water.
