You might want to avoid the use of the word "bombing" when referring to the Copley Square area. The tragic events of the 2013 Marathon are still fresh in some people's minds, and use of that word can be a trigger.

Perhaps using the word to describe something colorful and positive will help some reduce their negative associations and fears.
Besides, when someone covers a public object in yarn it's called yarn bombing. This is the correct use of the word.
