Well, aside from the obvious point that Roche Bros is not known for deep discounts on its produce, Market Basket raves aren't really useful to people buying groceries many miles from that chain's closest location.
But if we're talking inexpensive produce for folks in Boston's western neighborhoods, then I would point out that Droubi Bros currently has red and yelow peppers for $1.99, and Baby Nats has them for $1.49 and even less if you buy them pre-bagged! ...So you got ripped off cybah!

The problem is that peppers can be vastly different sizes, even within the same bin at the same store.
I buy them ten at a time, so I'm more aware of the variance, I guess.
