No. It's not even the right kind of bean...

It says that because it's owned by the Beantown Pub owners next door.

Which is why it will suck. He took the space when the owner of Boston Brewin next door was going to get the space. The greedy owner said, "Hey why don't I do it myself!"

Boston Brewin on Bromfield is owned by a good guy (Tom) .

Stop in. Let him tell you the story.

Is the owner of the coffee house from Massachusetts?

...its ppl not from Massachusetts that cleaned up Boston neighborhoods and made Boston a desirable place to live.

Can't want to drink coffee at Beantown in Beantown!

If you really hate the people who live here so much, why are you here? New York isn't that far away.

But whenever someone attempts to discredit someone for "not being from New England" or use it in a negative way...I will always call out the hypocrisy.

people not from New England have done great things in Boston and will continue to do great things as we become a WORLD class city.

Let's hope this headline from today's Globe proves to be the exception:

Is That a Donatello in the MFA's Storage?

also, blacklist the sign maker who printed this.

No one here calls it Beantown except a few newbies, but even most of them don't.
Franks and beans used to be a thing on Saturday night up to maybe the 60s or 70s but not any more.
99% of people who use the term Beantown don't live here.
Ziggys Coffee is based in Colorado.

I already dont like Ziggys coffee.

was going to say... Don't forget the brown bread!

Or will again soon. Beantowne Coffee - Cambridge, Open May 2016

(they had to close last year because of the Flat Top Johnny's fire)

I allow the use of the world for Beantown Taqueria, so this should be acceptable.

I remember when the foolish Sarah Palin gave a speech on the Common a few years ago for God knows what reason. I saw it on the news. The first words out of her mouth were "hello Beantown!". It was ridiculous.

that used to be called "Beaners"

that name lasted a surprisingly long time

This place has been 'coming soon' for 2 years. I'm not holding my breath.

And also, NO on the "Beantown" address. Go away.

that's just wicked pissah.

It's like "chowdah". It says something about you, and while that something is hardly on the top 100 list of crimes against humanity, it is off-putting. That said, I'd overlook it if the coffee were awesome, but it doesn't sound like it. And i'm really sorry that the little place around the corner got edged out. I didn't go there often because they didn't have a sit-down space, but they're very nice and have good coffee.
