Trans flag comes down in front of City Hall; is moved to back of City Hall

One day after Mayor Walsh vowed to fly a flag in support of transgender rights until the state legislature passes a bill enabling them, workers took it down and replaced it with a Polish flag, in honor of the 225th anniversary of Poland's first constitution. They moved the flag to a pole on the Cambridge Street side of City Hall.

If only we knew
that raising a flag would mean equal rights for all... And it only took a day.
The Polish
Could arguably use a permanent flag there as well. Perhaps another flag pole is in order. A separate, but equal flag pole.

Seems like another Walsh flip flop. When will Baker finally stop dithering and announce his views? He came out strongly against refugees like fellow Republican businessman Trump, and claimed to not be able to make his mind up about Climate Change (and therefore probably evolution) since he is not a scientist, but cant he make up his mind about equal rights for transgender people, one way or the other, yet? Cant he take a break from fundraising and make his decision?

Somebody at City Hall explained to me after I posted this that there's actually a protocol for such things: When a flag that's supposed to be flying is temporarily replaced by another flag because it's Polish Constitution Day (or whatever), it's taken down to the Congress Street side and flown from one of the poles there, until it can be replaced back in front of the main entrance. Because I didn't even think of this, I didn't go down there to check to see if they'd done that (nor did I go up to the fifth floor for the Polish food, which I heard is possibly the best spread they have save for the one for when they raise the Vietnamese flag).
Why?
Why were there Poles on the Congress street side? Didn't they know about the ceremonial stuff going on on the Plaza? I feel terrible that they missed it.

"strongly against" refugees? He said he wanted to ensure that the vetting process was strict before accepting refugees. He didn't say he'd never accept no matter what.

Baker and Trump are selling the same thing
Please, it was classic Baker opportunism. Trump said he wanted to ban muslims, but like Baker said until we figure this out. Its been years and the refugees are barely crawling in, it takes 2 years to be vetted, and Baker thinks its not strict enough? He and Trump deserve each other, like Romney they have no core beliefs other than the fact they think as businssmen they can fix everything, but that has been proven wrong many times, most recently by fellow Harvard MBA Bush.

Tomorrow will see the raising of the flag in support of Polish transgendered rights.
