New England One reports a judge in US District Court in Boston has dismissed the lawsuit by Channel 7's owner against Comcast's decision to set up its own NBC station in Boston using an obscure UHF channel - and, of course, a primo channel location on Comcast's local cable systems.

Thew newish tagline "The News Station: Always Have Always Will" is an interesting call to arms in anticipation of the fight to come.
I always liked WHDH News and disliked the news over on NECN. So if WHDH sticks around post merger I may stick with them as my news choice for a bit.

But I predict that this was always just a negotiating ploy between the two parties. Now that Comcast can legally take NBC away from Channel 7, Ansin will come back to Comcast and make it worth everyone's while to stay together. That's why Comcast has always been hazy about where the new NBC station would be, since they never really planned to move, unless they had to.
