In that same sing-songy narration that makes EVERY story sound exactly the SAME, whether you're looking for delightful dining just a tank away or unusual BARGAINS on Cape Cod! The folks at WCVB's Chronicle have that magic touch with words, the SAME words and phrases they've been using since it was first established in the 1970s. No matter the passage of TIME, the CHRONICLE anchors can make even the most EXCITING new find or old favorite sound like the dentist's drill.

There's quotation marks around that quote. Who is being quoted? And where is this imaginary border between "Boston" and Dorchester?
From Chronicle itself

Here's where I got it:
Yes I know the quote came from the Chronicle tweet

But my question is, to anyone who may know, (and please dont make me watch the episode)...Did Ch 5 simply quote Chris Douglass, the owner, or did they originate the quote?Looking at other tweets it seems that Chronicle is often quoting the management of various businesses in their headlines.
I want to make sure I have the correct target for my derision.

Hearkens back to my favorite ever Glove Travel article, about the exotic locales right here in our own back yard!
Never change, clueless local news. (I still call it "Tha Jape" when talking to locals. Thanks, MC Slim JB and Sally)
I'm upset.

And here I thought I was eating Boston caliber food for decades, already. What was I really eating? Manchester caliber food?? My stomach shudders thinking of past Dorchester iniquities.
They really said "caliber" in pleasant surprise at Dorchester?

Is Dorchester caliber 9mm or .40?
Drop dead.

But if you go to Chris Douglass's Dorchester restaurants, that hasn't happened to anyone, from any caliber, ballistic or culinary. Feel free to keep not coming here, not further crowding our restaurants and bars, and enjoy yourself continuing to avoid one-quarter of Boston.
Funny...

Such a pretentious quote. I've had tons of great meals outside of Boston.

Do they have airport quality restrooms?
Reminds me of a Phoenix review of a restaurant in West Roxbury

It started by saying that although more urban residents of Boston might appreciate it, West Roxbury might not be ready for it. Never mind that it’s a successful restaurant frequented by guess who?
The neighborhoods are basically seen as children by some people.
