Douche canoe defaces new Allston mural

A mural showing Charles River rowers on a wall in Lincoln Street that recently went up has already been defaced by some jerk who's doing his part to "keep Allston shitty." Universal Hub users who think that not posting photos of such defacement is equivalent to lynchings can see the damage. Maybe some volunteers can do for this mural what the Mayor's Mural Crew recently did for a defaced mural in Roslindale.

for not posting a picture of the graffiti. People who deface things with graffiti are doing it for publicity. Not posting a picture of the damage is the next best thing to painting over it immediately. Pathetic losers.

I'm sure the fine post undergrad artist from Berwick, ME, or Adams, MA, or Chadds Ford, PA or wherever is keeping it real until the time they move back home. One must keep your street cred up these days.

You didn't need to deface the mural to keep the area pretty lousy. You have lax bros, slumlords, Russian Mafia, and plenty of future methadone users doing the hard work out there already.

He's trying to deal with being called a douche on Universal Hub, and for what? Spray painting "Keep Allston Shitty" over a mural. I feel for the asshat myself.

I live in Lower Allston, and last night somebody tagged the flag on my porch. I wonder if it was the same person.

Edit: I already replaced it with a new flag. If it happens again, I'm holding a stakeout.

Also, does anyone know the proper means of reporting vandalism? Do I call the police? Maybe 311?
