No wonder why Keolis has trouble

keeping their trains running on time. They apparently don't even know the correct order of the stations they are supposed to stop at.

Swampscott is before Salem, not after.

Someone made a typo when programming the Scheduleator 9000.

I dunno if that's worse, or the fact that the robo-voice still can't pronounce at least a quarter of the station names properly...

to be better at pronouncing most of the station names than the current robo-voice (female voice) is. But, at least somebody has apparently fixed the "feature" in the original system whereby the human in the information booth had no means of overriding or cancelling the robo-voice's automatic broadcast - short (no pun intended) of disconnecting the power to the system. Many times, the human in the booth - who always makes the first boarding announcement for each train, and provides delay information for any train (which the Schedulator 9000 is apparently not intelligent enough to do) - would be interrupted by the robo-voice announcement, which would announce a different train, mid-sentence.

Voice synthesizers that "read" text can actually be adjusted to compensate for proper pronunciations.

I used to work in that field.

Instead of entering "Salem" you enter "say-lum." Chelsea is entered as "chel-see." And so on.

with all of the delays and cancellations on that line of late, that the bright minds of Keolis have reversed Salem and Swampscott??
