Infant giraffe gets better at animal hospital, returns to Franklin Park Zoo
Zoo New England reports the Franklin Park Zoo giraffe baby rushed to the Tufts animal hospital when it wasn't doing too well after its July 24 birth got well enough to be returned to the zoo.
But the young female, who still has "a touch of pneumonia" and some problems with physical coordination, will initially be hand reared by zookeepers, in a separate area from her mother, Jana:
Caring for the calf will require around the clock dedicated attention, coordination and teamwork by the zoo’s skilled animal management and veterinary teams. It is anticipated that she will be bottle fed until she is weaned at around six to eight months. While currently she is not in the same stall as her mother Jana, they are near each other and can see, hear and sniff each other.
The calf does not have a name, but the zoo hopes to remedy that with an online poll (no, you can't vote for Giraffey McGiraffeface - you can choose either Asha or Amari).

How about Melania? They're both tall, photogenic, and pose in the nude.
As Adam Reported, The Giraffe Was Born Here In The United States
