Last year's Allston Christmas storrowing drought now only a bad memory
By adamg on Tue, 08/30/2016 - 2:33pm
State Police show us why drivers heading inbound on Storrow Drive might have been a tad delayed around 2 p.m. today.
This is the same bridge that Duck Boat plowed into on Sunday, only a few hours after another U-Haul driver wedged himself in nice and tight.
And those storrowings were a few short days after another sardine truck storrowed further upstream.

New Rule
If you do this stupid shit, you have to pay $500 and your pic goes up at the RMV Locations for a year.
Lenient
Too small a penalty. You should have to forfeit the content of the truck, to be auctioned off, to the general bridge repair fund for the state/city/dcr.
Sure
Because obscure fines will prevent newcomers from assuming bridges along a major road are tall enough for a U-Haul.
mmmm....yeeessss....
...the Storrowings are strong this year. (Mr. Burns finger twiddle) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*this is some kind of sign of the apocalypse, or Trump victory....same thing really.....
Seriously.... Colleges PD's or MSP should
... just station someone at the entrances to Storrow the next few days. Maybe pull the officer who normally guards the HOV lane.
I hope every passing vehicle
Gave the truck the finger on the way by.
That'll teach 'em.
That'll teach 'em.
That's not the point
Have you ever used "(expletive) you" as a lesson?
I almost witnessed a
I almost witnessed a storrowing this afternoon going back to the office from Harvard Square. A U-Haul wanted to turn left onto Storrow from the North Harvard St bridge, stopped in the middle of the intersection BECAUSE THERE ARE FREAKING SIGNS HANGING DOWN, proceeded to sit there very confused before continuing on North Harvard and following the 66 bus route. At least this driver could read and see the signs hanging down.
And this just supports the
And this just supports the point that roadman makes over and over, that the height restrictions should be clearly posted before the driver starts to turn onto the parkway.
really???
These drivers have no excuses. Every truck rental agency warns them about prohibited roadways and that they will be held liable for any damages, tickets, fines, court costs, etc. There are large signs and small signs along all these roads and the access roads to Storrow, Memorial Drive and Soldiers Field Rd.
PS the recaptcha app is quite probably the most useless and annoying thing ever devised.

UHauls are Running Up the Scoreboard!
Time for the professionals and local professionals to mount an offensive!
