Man murdered in Roxbury was wanted for murder in Florida

Jesse Dieusinor

Boston Police report the man fatally shot in the head at Dearborn and Zeigler streets on Thursday was Jesse Dieusinor, 20, of Orlando, FL.

Dieusinor was wanted in Orlando for an Aug. 23 murder in which the 19-year-old victim was shot four times and left to die in an apartment-complex parking lot.

Dieusinor had previously been arrested in March in Orlando for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Guess that takes care of that.

Yep. Now there's no need for a trial to determine whether the man was actually guilty. Who needs due process? So much more efficient this way. But wait, now we need to find this guy's killer(s)? Darn, I thought we'd come out ahead here.

will understand the basics of US civics, as taught to schoolchildren, and we will no longer get posts that jump to conclusions about guilt ON ALMOST EVERY SINGLE STORY.

Unfortunately Civics is no longer taught in most Massachusetts schools. I think it should be required in both HS and College. Many people have no idea how anything in government works including the justice system.

People go to school for 3 years to learn about the law and even then, law school doesn't really tell them about specific aspects of the law.

You've had a body for however many years and you don't know everything about that. Most people cannot explain how nearly any part of their car works, but drive it every day. Shit, most people cannot even explain to a child why the sky is blue.

As we speak, people are out there commenting on articles (or comments on articles) instead of reading/learning. Fucking idiots!

I went to Latin Academy and got a great education and certainly learned about gov't but not thru a civics or social studies class.

It was the law even before that - hence the ancient name.

Whether it was taught well before MCAS, I don't know. This law goes back to the 1930s.

a civics class would stop people from jumping to conclusions?

What makes all the above commentators think that they don't teach "civics" but call it something else? (hint: it wasn't even called civics when I went to high school - it was called "social studies").

Something like history and social science, perhaps?

Or maybe "civics" is still required to graduate:

III. High School Requirements and Guidelines

Massachusetts state law requires the instruction of American history and civics (G.L. c. 71, § 2) and physical education (G.L. c. 71, § 3).

I don't jump to conclusions but I do come to them all the time and I don't apologize for that. Everyone does. If it walks like a duck...

On the other hand I've been on 3 juries and you bet your life I weighed the evidence and gave the best unbiased verdict I could each time.

One defendant was a drunk with more than one OUI. If I read about him on UH I would have come to the conclusion that he was driving drunk again.

Prosecution couldn't prove it to the me or the rest of the jury.
He walked, which was honestly probably unfortunate for the rest of society but the right thing to do civically.

In a case like this, a suspect has been named and an arrest warrant has been issued. He was the guy the DA thought did it. Now that he is no longer with us, charges will be dropped, but you better bet the Orlando Police Department will consider this case closed.

I take no joy in anyone's untimely death, but at least one loose end has been tied up. Now it's the BPD's headache to track down who killed him, and I hope they get that person into custody before an investigation of that guy's murder.

I hope at least the ad revenue from those upvoters is contributing something of value, because their participation is not.

perpetrators of violence often end up on the receiving end of it, as well. Jesse Dieusinor was definitely no exception!
