Police: Driver speeds away from Dorchester traffic stop, drags two officers, hits two others

Boston Police report that officers responding to a report of a man with a gun outside the Dublin House, 7 Stoughton St., around 12:30 a.m. had ordered a driver to stop when he sped off.
Two officers trying to get him out of the car were dragged briefly, two others were hit by the front of the car, police say. All four were taken to a local hospital but have since been released, police say.
Vincent Weaks, 34, was arrested around 10:20 a.m. at 49 Greenwood St., police say. Weaks will be arraigned Friday in Roxbury Municipal Court on four counts of assault and battery on a police officer with a dangerous weapon, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
