Missing dip at Somerville Stop & Shop

By 4:45 p.m., the Somerville Stop & Shop was basically out of guacamole, Frank Solensky discovered.

Any actual guac would be in the refrigerated aisle, not the snack aisle. Never seen any canned, shelf-stable guac.

And bread. The snow isn't even here yet, and my S&S was damn near out of bread. I didn't expect this shortage until tomorrow night.

No bleu cheese in Revere

As a non-Pats fan, I took advantage of empty stores and did my weekly grocery shopping shortly before kickoff. There wasn't a bottle of bleu cheese, any size or any brand, to be found in the Revere Stop & Shop. Oddly enough though, lots of ranch.

I don't understand ranch on buffalo wings. I'm glad to know that my fellow Baystaters agree.

(Marzetti's Simply Dressed Blue Cheese Dressing is my new favorite. It's even better than Marie's.)
