I think you might be thinking of people who snap and shoot up an establishment. This guy was shooting people before he got drafted, and continued even after signing for millions of dollars. So that gives me the impression he was just a shooter with an itchy trigger finger.
He certainly was not adept at committing murder, lest he wouldn't have left a man from Dorchester a mile from his house.
His father died from complications after hernia surgery, he didn't "get killed". By all credible accounts, his father was a singular force in keeping his kids on the right path, and it was after his death that AH began to go off the rails.
If you just came here to chide us for being callous about the death of a murderous thug, may I introduce you to this thing called the internet. Possibly you're too sensitive to be on it.
Nope, and the distinction isn't a subtle one either. But it's clearly beyond you.

I wasn't and I didn't. My comments have nothing to to with sensitivity towards Hernandez or even his family. Again, that's simply your failure to get it, and you will still not get it. I'm just bothered by the "let's get some cheap laughs" aspect of it. As I said before, if I were related to one of Hernandez's victims, I think I'd find this behavior asinine and painful to watch, not funny in the least and certainly not comforting.
27 year old football star murders 1 if not 3 (maybe more) people and eventually hangs himself in cell of maximum security prison in the middle of the night.
Odin Lloyd, a kid from Dorchester, murder victim
Daniel de Abreu of Boston, murder victim
Safiro Furtado of Boston, murder victim
Alexander Bradley, friend of murderous football star, shot in the face by murderous football star and left to die. Blinded in right eye permanently, vows revenge/murder
all three murder victims leave behind grieving family and friends
3 year old daughter of murderous football player will never know her father
4 years of children throughout New England having to ask parents about one of their champion Patriots murdering people in industrial lots and outside nightclubs.
I don't think any of this is very funny. Hernandez was a disgusting, horrible piece of garbage. Something or someone obviously went very wrong with this guys life somewhere along the way. He probably got everything he deserved in the end but Cappy making bad jokes about library books and suicide? Not even close to funny.
Are we 100% sure this was suicide? I mean, at the very least, isn't the timing suspect? Why would he wait until after he was ACQUITTED for the two additional murders, with a new, successful, and very talented lawyer who could maybe help him appeal his current sentence and get him out of the slammer? I still think he was guilty as sin, but you'd think he might be hopeful, not suicidal. I wonder if his victims might have had some friends who weren't too pleased with the verdict.
What he thought about Hernandez beating the double murder charge, then appealing the first charge under the guise of "why would I kill someone over a murder(s) I didn't commit." Friend didn't think there'd be anything to that, which I agreed with. For what it's worth the guy mentioned Hernandez being extorted by some gang members in CT and that being the main reason he was still in the life for lack of better term. I'm sure the PCP didn't help either. I also wouldn't be surprised if Hernandez was killed in jail by someone else. Been trying to figure out how a person can hang themselves from a window that's only a few feet off the ground. No pun intended.
Self-asphyxiated would be more accurate - and all you need to do that is something to wrap around your neck and someplace to hang your weight on. You can do this sitting down or even laying down if you choose not to get up.
Height doesn't matter. Steady pressure is all that's needed. And it only takes about 15 kg of weight hanging on the neck to asphyxiate an average person by closing their trachea.
