The Jamaica Plain Gazette reports on the proposal for 54A Hyde Park Ave., next to where that new apartment building (the little one, across from the T parking lot) is going in, near Weld Hill St.
There's so much pot smoke coming out of parked cars and cars zipping through that area I doubt they need a dispensary. Just hang out around the area and you can get your fix.
There's plenty young people in the area who drive recklessly on Hyde Park Ave jumping from lane to lane and even more who are smoking and dealing drugs in the area. I've lived many years in Hyde Park and recently moved to Roslindale on the Hyde Park Ave side-- we do not need a dispensary, especially in front of a train station where many young kids are taking transportation daily.

Which building?
Does anyone know which building this is? I hope the aikido place isn't closing.

Cars Zipping through
What time of day are you seeing cars "zipping through" this area? Fake news

Come to the Back Bay. I see it nearly every day, even in the morning. Not fake news in this neighborhood.
Really?
Call the cops, then.
Oh, wait - you smelled weed once, assumed it was someone in a car, so ...
Kevin's Car
He's just circling around, trying to avoid the family minivan.

Current tally
Currently, there are 24 licensed medical marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts, according to WeedMaps.
The law approved up to 35 in total; five per county.
Boston (and, Suffolk County) has just one as of now.
I'm surprised; my concern is that there would be five in Boston and nowhere else.

To be fair
Boston makes up more than 80% of Suffolk County.
A good move would be to ensure that at least one is outside Boston, but East Boston geographically would also be a good spot.

That area would be great for a safe drug injection facility. Drug addicts suffer from a disease, and should be helped, not persecuted.
