RoadTrip New England reports people are camping outside the Chick-fil-A scheduled to open tomorrow on whatever it is they call the old Rte. 1 in Dedham, near the Ocean State Job Lot. The first 100 customers get a free meal once a week for a year.

and granting that it's better than average fast food (or was years ago)...
I think if I ever found myself camping out in a parking lot for a fast food restaurant opening, I'd start to wonder what I was doing with my life.

It may have to do with getting older/growing up/whatever you want to call it. Once upon a time I would have waited in line for Krispy Kreme (although I doubt I would have camped out overnight for it). Now I'm just a lot choosier about what I spend my time (and calories) on.

North Carolina. Had one hot out of the oven and it was great. Had the second one two hours later, and it was one of the worst things I've ever eaten.
And now they're sold in mini marts and gas stations. Yum - not.

If I need chicken, I'll check out Raising Cane's on Comm Ave.
It's a different thing

Don't get me wrong. I love my Cane's. But the chicken, while good, is, in my opinion, not as good as Chik Fil-A. The fries, on the other hand, are far better. If that was the deciding vote, Comm Ave wins.
Man, now I want some Cane's.
