Delayed commuters on the Franklin Line this morning get to shoot daggers out of their eyes not at Keolis but at the semi driver who realized too late his cab wasn't going to fit under the tracks at East Street in Dedham:
A truck became stuck under the East Street bridge in Dedham this morning. The vehicle has been removed & crews are working quickly to repair damage, restore regular service to the Franklin Line. The town should really think about putting up a sign noting what the bridge clearance is.

Either you are joking or you have never been on this street. There are 10-12 warning signs on each side of the bridge warning of the low hight. It's actually pretty funny how many signs are posed here.

Are any of these signs located at intersections where trucks can take a different route., as opposed to suddenly facing a low bridge and having to make a 30 point turn and finding another way.
That's an excellent question

There is a road to the left of this bridge right before you hit it.
Going from the opposite direction, there is a sign at the rotary that gives the height, so no need to do anything other than keep on going around until you get to an appropriate exit.

Who has time to read signs when they're texting and driving?
Storrowed on Storrow

Monday I was driving inbound on Storrow when traffic started to slow and it was soon evident that a truck had just stopped in time at the Esplanade underpass. Some kind of truck that was already too high and a load of ladders on top to boot. He was already trying to slowly back out when we got by him. Didn't see him 30 mins later on the return trip so I guess he got out OK. He looked very unhappy when we passed by, but of course, we were amused.
