Now, boss man, he/she/it is clearly un sphincter flamboyant. You with some help from the milling minions provide vastly more original news than the local media total. We know that.

But every time you refer to a utility hole by the more common, sexist term, people's minds are going to go into the gutter.

I mean, read your headline without any context. It's just nasty.

They actually refer to them as "person-hole covers." Working with public sector utilities will gain you those sorts of "fun" facts.

It isn't hard to come up with gender neutral terminology like "Access Covers" and "Utility Access Holes" that both properly describe the item or issue at hand and don't sound silly.

My googling of the PC term was way too quick. "Person-hole" does seem like they were working too hard at it, but whatever. As long as I don't think dirty thoughts each time I see it, I'm cool with whatever.

That said, I will cast a weary eye towards King County, WA, and the holes they have out that way.

It appears I'm the only one who is saddened and concerned about this woman. Why doesn't this woman have a safe place to sleep at night? Is she mentally ill? No safe beds available?

The Manhole! It was on North Halsted Street, and has been closed down for years, but I was rumored that back in the day, Barak and Rahm used to frequent the place after hours.
