At least we won't have to go through another one of those disruptive victory parades.

that's had to endure the excessive overcrowding when these events, which always seem to be held on normal weekdays for no legitimate reason, happen.

1) So it gets crowded on your Morning commute (and I also ride the train, albeit not the CR), for one day, as specifically related to a single event. Wah.
2) The legitimate reason is that a sports team that represents the city of Boston and greater region won their league's highest title.
2a) The legitimate reason is that they are also, well, fun, and give fans another opportunity to interact with the team and players they rooted for the entire season.
2b) The City of Boston has an incentive to lure patrons into their city to solicit business. Seems pretty legit to me.

I know it's Monday, but lighten up, eh?

Seems like you're the only daily cummuter rail rider who doesn't want to share his public transportation with the public. A crowded train really grinds your gears doesn't it?

At least the Bruins' Cup parade in 2011 was on a Saturday.

We wouldn't want to put any more pressure the poor CR riders. It's all they can do just to get to and from work, don't give them a curveball of dealing with people.
