Until the suspect is politically connected and they pass the baton to another agency.

This certainly validates the Baker’s as being true Republicans...

Just like noted Republicans John Conyers, Al Franken, Harvey Weinstein and Bill Clinton?

Are your parents and siblings responsible for all the dumbass stuff you've done in your life?

The lady asked him to stop and he didn't. I wouldn't call that Republican, I'd call it privileged.

No arrest. No summons to court. Did the state police take the women's statement? Did she file a complaint? Did they talk to witnesses?

No Suffolk DA prosecuting, it's been kicked to the US Attorney. It's a felony to lie to the FBI. FBI does investigations for the US Attorney. Sexual assault on a flight is a federal offense, It's a felony with a max of 10 years in jail.

AJ 's attorney is a former federal prosecutor and former head of litigation at Goodwin, and a partner. I bet he bills at $800 an hour.

Baker spokesperson said it's private in the same sentence she said AJ is cooperating with the investigation. Why is the Governor's spokesperson even talking about it never mind declaring what AJ will be doing in the future? Anyway it worked, all the headlines weren't about the allegations (sexual assault on a flight) they were all about how he's cooperating.

This is an entitled male problem. It doesn't hold to political philosophy, except that maybe liberal males try to hide it or rationalize it rather than declare that God requires women to be submissive.

Kind of like how many suburban liberals are all about racial equality so long as it doesn't move into their neighborhood (and some right wing types are cool with it in their neighborhood so long as it doesn't show up in their church).

Sounds like Jet Blue chose to press the issue.

A woman was attacked on a plane and you think that going after the guy who the flight attendant had to move away from her is "revenge"?

Seriously?

There are these people called "reporters" who follow the public records of such things and "report" on them.

When the police board a plane to take someone away, it's pretty obvious. (Ask United)

He didn't get arrested. He didn't get summoned to court.

If a person accused of upskirting a woman on the T is arrested why isn't a person accused of physically violating a woman on a jet not arrested?

What is the difference?

If there was only an accusation of upskirting but not witness other than the victim would the accused be arrested? If the answer is yes then not arresting Baker is a pure case of favoring Baker because his father is governor.

Staties don't want to be transferred from their cushy jobs at the Airport. T-cops work in the subway and the rich and powerful don't ride the rails.

Friday night news dump: check
No arrest on a charge that would have any poor schmuck in the system lickety split: check
Old school Massachusetts system of who you know and fuck everyone else; check!

Makes me long for the days of Ed King and the outrage of eating at Pier 4 on the taxpayers twice a week.

Wrong Gov Baker, Sexual Assault on an Airplane is a Federal matter not a Personal matter

Personal and private matter for his relationship with his son.

Just call it the Great Firewall of Bulger. His son is an adult and really on his own here. Baker is not legally responsible for his son's behavior.

He's probably wise to not say anything about it.

Would have been wise to say nothing, instead the governor's spokesmen made comments about the case that dominated headlines Saturday.

"Aide: Gov. Baker’s son is cooperating on airliner incident"
