Eagle-eyed kaiju fan Chris Devers alerts us that the trailer for next summer's "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" features Boston being destroyed by a tsunami (coming, oddly, from Cambridge).

The tidal wave seen in the trailer is a misleading clip. Yes, a tidal wave starts out, fueled by the thrashing death-throes of Godzilla (nobody defeats the Sisko, I mean Hawk). He's able to use Shelby Scott's power to reduce the tidal wave to a mere king tide, overwashing Commercial Wharf. In Boston, that is... Revere and Quincy do get destroyed.

My Opinion Of Andromeda Is Still Pending
The only way to know if you like a show, is to watch it— preferably the entire work, with all episodes in order. Right now, I'm in the middle of season four and willing to stick with it to the end. Whether or not I'll ever watch it again remains to be determined.

For some reason, the Stonados franchise never took off like the Sharknado series.

Stonados was brilliant! Disgruntled scientist, unqualified helpers, clueless leadership. The University of Boston stadium (go Lions!) overlooking Boston harbor! And of course, stellar dialogue, outstanding acting and well-researched science. Everything you look for in a movie from SyFy. Totally worth watching.

I don't get...
...why it's remotely entertaining (regardless of the degree of fictional storytelling) to visually watch realistic images of the area you live/work in undergo catastrophic destruction.
Then when a very real negative circumstance occurs to the same area, everyone (rightly so) begins to panic.
I don't understand why it's desired to pay $10 to watch your "home" be pretend-destroyed, only to witness a fraction of such destruction actually occur & watch in horror. Someone please provide some insight so I can "get" it.

Ok, is nobody going to point out to the author that a tsunami is a giant wave. Nothing seen in the trailer looks even remotely like a tsunami it's very obviously a massive storm and what is coming toward the main character isn't water, it's a enormous cloud of ash and debris.
? Am I missing something?
That doesn't look anything like a tsunami. It's some sort of cloud cause by strong winds - which appears to be how the other monster destroys stuff as shown in another scene later in the trailer.
