They probably won't rename it the Braintree Herald

Dan Kennedy gets the scoop: The Boston Herald is moving its offices to Braintree - where the big win for the dwindling staff is the free parking (plus ready access to a Panera, a Dunkin' Donuts and, for the executives, a Legal Seafood).

I believe that's called a shit sandwich.
Its gonna need a big bottle of something really strong to wash it down.
Enjoy!
Good for the Herald for staying in MA, not Manila, Philippines
Good for the Herald for staying in MA, not Manila, Philippines like the Boston Globe. When I called the fake Dorchester number to cancel after the fake Trump front page in 2016, the lovely Boston Globe customer service agent was in Manila and said she was overwhelmed by cancellations.
On the day it was announced Pittsburgh lost its last printed newspaper, it's nice to see Boston's scrappy tabloid making good economic decisions, about five minutes on the highway from the abandoned Boston Globe headquarters and ten minutes from downtown. Great to see the Herald keeping up.
Please...
Purcell could print it on his home printer with the number of papers sold each day.
It is probably his mom who answers the phone.
Purcell's gone
He put the paper in bankruptcy, and it was bought by Digital First Media, based in Colorado.
Exactly..Purcell is gone!
There is a whole new breed of young intrepid newspaper people keeping an eye on things in this state and towne. Now where's my eyeliner???

Same guys
If you ever listened to the home delivery menu of both papers, you’d realize it’s the same company handling both papers. The same driver delivers them every morning, too.
HAHAHAHAHHA
I'm laughing that you think Braintree is 10 minutes from Downtown Boston by highway. Maybe on a Sunday with no traffic going 120 miles per hour.
Wow, that's a fascinating story
Thanks so much for sharing. I've never heard this story before. Not even once.
I had to call the Globe
I had to call the Globe subscription services a few months ago and got a Massachusetts-based person, complete with Boston accent.
Fire Michael Graham.
That is all.
Close to the Rite Aid!
(chuckle)
So it's on Planet Earth, is it?
Olive Garden?
Does it have an Olive Garden nearby?
That's real cred with their subscribers in Marshfield for sure!
HAHA
...and now the Herald can be closer to their consumers (angry, miserable old south shore residents)....
Gentrification for the win!! YES!
Yes because the south shore
Yes because the south shore is immune to gentrification right? Way to generalize you poser.
The view
Kind of odd that it has a direct view of a railyard primarily used to store railcars of pelletized sewage, liquid tallow, and demolition waste.
Howie Carr will fit right in
Howie Carr will fit right in then.
That's no way
to talk about Herald subscribers!
Top executives at Boston Herald?
Who are top executives at Boston Herald?
Was the Fargo Street location really better?
It’s got to be the least accessible part of the Seaport.
Still, great for workers who live in the southern suburbs, not so much for others. Judging by what other papers owned by this company have done, I bet they will be okay if reporters want to telecommute.
Exactly, being next to the
Exactly, being next to the Red Line and Route 3 has to be better than getting to and from the Seaport for some of their employees. Heck, now they'll have faster access to almighty Foxborough(stop with this "being in the city" garbage).
Let’s not forget the commuter rail
And a train to Cape Cod in the summer is another perk.
Still, the offices of the Patriot Ledger will be closer to downtown.
