Suffolk Superior Court Judge Peter Krupp today sentenced Xiao Ying Zhou, 47, of Sandwich to 5 to 6 years in state prison after she admitted she hit a woman on Kneeland Street, then kept driving with the woman caught on the bottom of her SUV until she got to Columbia Road on I-93 south, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Prosecutors had asked for 10 to 12 years on the charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
Her victim suffered permanent injuries and disabilities and required skin grafts across much of her body.

Pleasantly surprised by the verdict
And glad I didn't put any actual money down on "six month suspended sentence", which is where I sort of assumed this was heading.
I wasn't surprised.
If the stories in the Cape papers about the perp are accurate, she's not one I'd expect to be offered a suspension.
Okay
So why was she even still driving at all?
What stories are you referring to?
In the "Cape papers"?
From what I've gathered
She gives massages as her profession, though the profession is older than that. Allegedly.
In the end, that activity should have no bearing on this case.
